The 3-D Demo filter in this folder has a fully operational interface and Preview Window. The output (OK button) is disabled.
Use the HELP file within the filter for instructional information.
Wrap your image on several 3D surfaces; shift, scale, rotate the image and surface; shade the surface and the image on the surface with a movable light source; view the surface from any viewing angle and perspective ... and see an accurate preview rendering in the Preview Window within the filter. As you might expect, full resolution output has been disabled in the 3-D Demo. filter. However, we guarantee high quality anti-aliased renderings in the full product. This filter brings sophisticated, extraordinary 3D functionality conveniently close to you and in mosst cases provides 99% of your daily 3D requirement!
INSTALLING THE 3-D Demo FILTER.
To install the filter:
1. If you have a PowerMac, drag the file "ASI 3-D PPC Demo" into the "Filters" folder on your hard disk. The "Filters" folder is normally found in the "Plug-ins" folder in your "Adobe Photoshop 3.0" folder.
If you don't have a PowerMac, drag the file "ASI 3-D 68k Demo" to the "Filters" folder on your hard disk. Note that for versions of Photoshop prior to 3.0, move the filter to the "Plug-Ins" folder. The "Plug-ins" folder is in your "Adobe Photoshop 2.5.1" folder.
2. Drag the file "3-D Prefs" to the Preferences folder inside your System folder. (System Folder is on your desktop).
3. Restart Adobe Photoshop™ (or Premiere™).
"3-D 68k Demo" or "3-D PPC Demo" will show in the "Andromeda" sub-menu under the "Filter" menu. It is enabled when a RGB, CMYK or Grayscale image is open.
The filter will run on any 68030/68040 Macintosh or PowerMac.
Also included in this folder are Series 2 Slides, these images provide a visual tutorial into the functionality of Series 2 Three D Filter.
The Series 2 Three D Filter is a sophisticated filter with considerable functionality. To quickly get started using Series 2 we recommend the following:
- learn some of the fundamentals with the help of the enclosed QUICKSTART/Step-by-Step. (Print it and then refer to it.)
- look at the Series 2 Slides to get an idea of the Filter's functionality.
- you will find Series 2 on-line HELP fairly detailed and very helpful it attempts to overview the vast functionality possible with the Filter, from simple 3D effects to package design visualization.
